Walkden Methodist Church has origins in the Little Hulton and Walkden area as far back 1800's, where the Church has been an integral part of the community. The Church is part of the Farnworth and Worsley Methodist Circuit and Bolton and Rochdale District.
Walkden Methodist Church in it's present form is an amalgamation of St Andrew's Methodist Church and Memorial Road Methodist Church, which began life together as one church in 2002.
The Church over many year's has integrated together including congregations from Walkden Primitive Methodist Church, Walkden Moor Methodist Church, Whittlebrook Chapel to name a few.
Today, Walkden Methodist Church currently has a congregation of around 100 people on a regular morning service, where all ages accross all generations worship together. The Church strives to be an inclusive Church catering for people with different interests and abilities to be part of a inclusive Church Family.
Walkden Methodist Church believes that it is vital to appeal to all ages in order for our Church to be dynamic and progressive in the future.
